Bonefish & Tarpon Trust

Bonefish & Tarpon Trust is a non-profit, membership-based organization dedicated to the conservation of saltwater flats species - particularly bonefish, tarpon, and permit - and their habitats. BTT works with experts in marine biology, statistics, economics, and other related fields to gather knowledge that will help us to understand, nurture, and enhance healthy bonefish, tarpon, and permit populations. BTT uses the knowledge gained from research to educate the public about best practices in angling, and with resource management agencies to protect and conserve the fisheries.

Captains for clean water

Captains for Clean Water is a grassroots 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that advocates for the elimination of harmful, large-scale Lake Okeechobee discharges into the Caloosahatchee and St. Lucie River Estuaries by restoring the natural flow of Lake Okeechobee water south into the Everglades and Florida Bay. Restoring the natural southern flow of Lake Okeechobee water is essential to the survival of our estuaries, the health of the Everglades, and the long-term viability of South Florida’s largest drinking water source (the Biscayne Aquifer).

Advancing education, awareness and scientifically supported solutions to restore and protect marine ecosystems and our way of life for future generations.

bull sugar.jpg is a non-profit 501(c)4 founded in August 2014 on the belief that stopping the damaging discharges to our coasts and restoring the Everglades is not a science or engineering problem. The science has been known for decades. Our problem is a political problem -- and it requires a political solution.

mission is dedicated to stopping the damaging discharges into the St. Lucie and Caloosahatchee estuaries and restoring the flow of clean freshwater to Florida Bay. We aim to empower voters to take back our water and government and to ensure a lasting legacy of clean water and healthy estuaries for future generations.
